This is a personal site for Rob Quigley. I specialize in web & social media strategies for political and government organizations and currently serve as the New Media Director for Gov. @Schwarzenegger.
Worked to bring about positive change within government toward communicating via social media. Gov. Schwarzenegger has been a leader in constituent outreach with his use of social media tools over the last several years.
Created www.Tweetcast.in for citizens to watch and tweet about the Governor's live events. The Governor's Office produces regular Tweetcast Q & A web chats with the public to interact directly with the Governor.
Created www.MyIdea4CA.com for citizens to submit their ideas for improving state government via Twitter. Website centralizes the Twitter conversation by indexing the #myidea4ca tweets so they can be searched, sorted, and ranked.
Managing the on-going development of Governor Schwarzenegger’s state websites has provided the opportunity to work with a talented team to implement dynamic features that defy expectation of a typical government web presence.
Created the 2008 State of the State address website to highlight Governor Schwarzenegger's priorities for 2008. Special features include video blogs by members of the administration.
Created the 2007 May revision website to highlight the priorities of the Governor's revised budget. A flash presentation explains to the viewer the challenges to the states of California's budget and the positive steps the Governor has taken to reduce the budget deficit.
Managed the creation of Governor Schwarzenegger's health care reform advocacy website in 2007. Special features include a flash presentation on health care hidden costs, contact your rep, video blogs, and tell the Governor your healthcare story.
Redesigned the California Museum for History, Women, and the Arts website to coincide with the museum name change in 2005. An ecommerce shopping cart solution was implemented to help handle sales of the release of the collector's edition of the California State Quarter.
Helped create and managed Governor Schwarzenegger's campaign website during the 2003 historic gubernatoral recall election. Special features included example online ballots and a custom find your polling place service.
